Located at the top of the Texas Hill Country, the RRR Ranch is tucked back into the landscape of Mills County. Just 150 miles southwest of Dallas/Ft. Worth, 80 miles northwest of Austin and 110 miles northwest of San Antonio makes the RRR ranch an easy destination to reach for your trophy whitetail deer adventure.
Whitetail Deer Hunts
The RRR Ranch features outstanding guided Whitetail Trophy hunts, with the rolling countryside providing a wide variety of terrain. As part of a Wildlife Management Association, the RRR Ranch has seen the average size of bucks increase to an average of eight points. There are significant numbers of trophy bucks up to and including ten points and above. Guided Whitetail deer hunts take place within a high fenced pasture, and feature sitting in old-fashioned Hill Country Deer Blinds.
Other Deer Hunts
The RRR Ranch also features Management Deer Hunts and Cull/Doe hunts. There is also a Youth Whitetail Hunt each fall. The range of Whitetail deer hunt packages provided by the ranch will satisfy any hunter, from the veteran out for a trophy Whitetail deer to the first-time hunter. The aim is to provide you, the hunter with a safe, fair chase hunt that you will remember for a long time.
The RRR Ranch also features Black Buck Hunts, a few Axis deer hunts, Turkey hunts, and Dove hunts. All hunts are guided. Please contact us for more information.
Fishing at the RRR Ranch
There is also a variety of fishing packages available at the four private lakes on the RRR ranch, where you can fish for Black bass, catfish and hybrid bluegill. The Black Bass are catch and release, but you can cook up some catfish during the evenings. The four lakes on the ranch offer a variety of fishing for your enjoyment.

The guest house features a queen-sized bed, two twins and a full kitchen. Brew a fresh cup of coffee and watch Fox News on Direct TV before moving outside to the porch to savor the morning air.
The ranch is named after my grandfather, Robert R. Rickard and was purchased in 1996 by Warren and Doris Blesh. “While I was raised a city boy, granddad took me hunting and fishing while I was growing up”. “Then, my best friend and relative “Rip” Farley from Goliad, Texas taught me about deer hunting and ranching.” Those two influences, parents that helped along the way, and my wife, Doris, has led us to call RRR Ranch home.
The 400 acre, high fenced ranch is home for whitetail deer, blackbuck antelope, Rio Grande turkey, and a few axis deer.
We invite you to be our guest for a day, weekend or week at our special ranch.
